The B1i integration framework was designed to provide an infrastructure that allowed for the communication and interaction between software applications such as SAP Business One, other SAP solutions as well as non-SAP systems.
One of the key features is that the B1i Integration Framework is also used by SAP Business One for Making Tax Digital (MTD) to send the relevant Data to and from HMRC.
The Integration Framework currently has 2 Versions namely Version 1 and Version 2 unlike conventional software developing against the classical application programming interfaces (APIs) for data exchange, development within the integration framework only takes place in dedicated spaces, called atoms.
The purpose of the integration framework is to provide data mapping and transformed information to the software applications involved and SMEPMS has extensive experience with this type of Integration and Synchronisation.
Once mapped all relevant Data can be transformed and exchanged, the specified time intervals or prompts for when the data exchange should take place can be established during the system design.
All definitions for the data exchange are saved in the integration framework in the form of an object or form known as a scenario and these can be backed up so that no loss of Data can occur.
The integration framework provides the possibility to create custom-specific scenarios currently SMEPMS has large selection of these Custom Scenarios available to our Clients and we use these to connect to our Portal based system Onexpand.
There are also standard ready-to-run scenarios such as the MTD Scenario, which can be changed or adapted to suit the specific customer needs. Some of these standard scenarios extend the various standard processes in SAP Business One.
